Urban markets: more-than-economic values

What can you find at your local market? If you pay close attention, markets are a portray of how we experience public living, of what we have brought in and what we have left out with modernity, of the rules we daily negotiate in our communities, and even a portray of what we value having in our own, intimate realms - such as our homes and tables.

How many of these spaces of opportunity for common living do we still have in our cities?

This is a video of a presentation I gave to a group of architecture students, providing an overview of my research on markets and some paths were they can continue contributing with this timely agenda.
